We've have now sent our mailing list the most recent Newsletter. For those who have not already read the previous issue, we have added Issue Two (1.6MB) to the website.

We are delighted to announce that fidrabooks will be reprinting some of Anne Digby's Trebizon series. Set in a modern boarding school, the series was first published in the 1980s with the later titles appearing in the early 1990s. These last few were published in small numbers, largely due to the major recession in the publishing industry at that time, and are thus very hard to find and sought after by collectors. Secret Letters at Trebizon will be brought out in Spring 2007.

Following the success of our edition of We Met Our Cousins by Joanna Cannan, we are delighted to announce that we will be publishing some of her daughter Josephine Pullein-Thompson's books, beginning with Six Ponies. This suffered many small abridgements when produced as an Armada paperback and so the full first-edition text will be a particular treat. Six Ponies will be published next summer.

The Old Children's Bookshelf and fidrabooks are proud to announce a Celebration of Scottish Children's Literature to be held June 2007 in Edinburgh. We are delighted that Elinor Lyon will give a talk and be available to sign copies of her books.

Olivia FitzRoy's Orders to Poach has been delivered to fidrabooks and can now be ordered from our online shop or from one of our stockists.

Victoria Walker's book The Winter of Enchantment is to be published by fidrabooks as our Christmas 2006 title - available in November. It is a marvellous story of magical cats, enchanters and time travel and we are very pleased to have made arrangements with Victoria to publish it. A separate North American edition will be published, and our title, with the full first edition text, will be available to the rest of the world.
