We're delighted to be able to announce that we will be reprinting Caroline Akrill's the Eventing Trilogy. The first book will be out late 2008 with the original text and new covers. We're looking forward to introducing a new generation of pony-mad girls to Elaine.

We are pleased to announce the opening of The Children's Bookshop at 219 Bruntsfield Place on the 10th November at 10am. Please come along and say hello, and browse our wide range of fiction and non-fiction titles.
Due to circumstances beyond our control we have had to postpone Sheila Stuart's Alison's Christmas Adventure. Due to the nature of this book, we'll save this festive title until late next year. In the meantime, however, we shall be publishing another Alison adventure early 2008.

Joanna Cannan's London Pride has been delivered to fidrabooks and can now be ordered from our online shop or from one of our stockists.
We are delighted to announce that fidrabooks will be reprinting The Far Distant Oxus by Pamela Whitlock and Katharine Hull in the spring of 2008. It was written in the 1930s by two schoolgirls who, unsure what to do next, sent the resulting manuscript to Arthur Ransome for criticism. The girls described it as “a story by children, about children and for children”. Arthur Ransome, hugely popular by that time, took it into the offices at Jonathan Cape and told them: “I’ve got this year’s best children’s book under my arm”. The subsequent books in the series - Escape to Persia and Oxus in Summer - will follow in due course.
